I recently had a few questions come in about a pretty guest bedroom. The homeowner wanted to change out the art above the bed and wondered if the bedding pattern was too busy. Overall, she wanted to make the room feel more welcoming.
The walls are SW White Duck and the accent wall, SW Sensible Hue.
She made a good start, it is a pretty room!

My Suggestions
While it does look very nice, I can suggest a few changes. First of all, she asked for a replacement for the art.
I scoured through some websites and found this art piece that I liked best. With the wall being more of a green-gray, and the bedding more blue, I liked the idea of mixing those two colors in the art.
At 37” x 28”, I think it would fit nicely above a queen bed.
One thing I noticed is how the bed is off-center in the room. That works best because of the closet.
It can, also, give you a little extra room for something more than a small nightstand, if you want. :-)
In this case, I did want to try it out a small desk. With a blue round mirror and a small lamp, I think it fits in nicely here and uses some of that extra space.
I think a rug would go along way to add warmth and comfort here. I like this one from Nourison.
I did a little photoshopping to get all this in the room so far. I just love the tool on the rug website I found that gets the rugs under your furniture in a flash.
I do think the bedding and the rug patterns fight a bit and if she went with a solid blue-gray color coverlet and skirt, then she could use the patterned duvet folded at the end of the bed. It all relates, I just like the idea of solid bedding now that I’ve added the rug.
(Forgive me my rudimentary photoshop skills! I know that isn’t a coverlet, in the image below, nor is it exactly the right color. You get the idea though, right? :-)
Finally, I still like the art she had originally above the bed. I think it would look good above the closet doors to add something to this wall.
