Oh boy, do I have great find for you, Design Lovers. It’s a FREE visualization tool that makes your rug shopping soooo easy and effective at seeing what a rug will look like in your room!
As many of you know, I recently did an Instagram Q and A over the weekend and I had several questions about rugs. Actually some were questions about how to furnish their space but on several I mentioned rugs were needed.
When I do on-line consulting, I often visit this website for obtaining links. They have many of the vendors I use so I know the sources and the quality of some of their products.
Most of the visualization tools that some retailers have on their sites are a little cumbersome and take some time. This one is so freakin’ fast, I had to share.
So, let me share how I used this tool.
My blog contains affiliate links. Any purchases, at no additional charge to you, render me a small percentage, are most appreciated and make this blog possible. :-)
Garden Room Rug
This question came in about a garden room, mainly they wanted to know about how to best get some book storage in this space. I shared a solution for that but also mentioned that a rug here would be nice.
Later on, as I was playing with that tool a bit, I selected a rug on this website and then used the tool to apply that rug to the room. It literally took seconds.
I just clicked on this tool at the bottom of each pic of a rug that I found and it took me right to the tool. I then uploaded the image, clicked on the rug I wanted, and within seconds the image popped up with the rug in the room!
I had to play with sizes a bit, an easy change. I turned the rug different directions too, also an easy task. It’s very user friendly.
Here’s an example of a pic on their site with the tool link at the bottom.
So here’s the rug I selected in the room downloaded from the tool on their site. :-)
Doesn’t it look realistic? And that rug is a perfect color and pattern for that room. It’s polypropylene, so easy care and inexpensive.
Let me show you a few more examples.
Bathroom Rug
Here was a bathroom where the homeowner wanted some help with decor to liven the place up a bit. One of the key items I mentioned was a rug.
You can use indoor/outdoor rugs in a bathroom to add color, pattern and softness. Any rug that is polypropylene will stand up to water.
I used the tool on the website and here are the images I created in less than a minute. Two options that would add something to the room.
Outdoor Rug
Here was an outdoor space that was submitted. This homeowner wanted to know how to make this space look more colorful and tied together.
Obviously, one of the items I suggested was an outdoor rug. With this comfy spot and a tv out here too, no doubt this space is used like an outdoor living room.
I again used the visualization tool and slipped the picture the homeowner sent me into the tool and selected the blue outdoor rug I wanted.
Voila!
Honestly, I could play with that tool all day. Try it out for yourself, especially if you are on the hunt for a rug!
Might I suggest that you pretty please use my links to the rugs to get to the site?
You can surf around all you want once there. If you end up buying something from their website and you got there through my links (in the shopping widget below), then I get a small percentage at no additional charge to you. It’s affiliate marketing and basically I’m directing you to the site, so they give me a little bit of credit for that. :-)
Hope you enjoy that tool as much as I do!
