Are you ready for fall?
I don't know about you, but I have noticed quite a few fall decorating pins on pinterest and other social media feeds lately. Yes, we bloggers are getting ready.
There's just nothing like the IDEA of cooler weather, back to school, and the upcoming holiday season to get people in the mood to entertain and decorate.
I kind of mix up my table every year and I'm sharing a few that I've done in the past below. Here is a more formal look below, that I did a few years ago.
I did this, burlap and blue pumpkins (seen right) the next year. This was a fast table, thrown together at the last minute.
I really love that pretty combination. I love the contrast of texture with the gloss of the creamware. Not only that, but these days I’m a fan of simple designand simple entertaining in a rustic chic style. Rustic chic is so perfect for the fall.
The next year I went with a gray tablecloth and added in some golden browns and natural greenery. I like where that was going with the gray base. Love those little brown antique medicine bottles that I bought at Round Top that year too. I shared more about this tabletop HERE.
Last year I did a fall tabletop for At Home Stores, which was a big more minimal and less "bushy". I like the simple style with the creamy pumpkins I used here.
I ended up going back the burlap tablecloth at Thanksgiving, as we had more family come in for dinner and I can add a table and just roll out that burlap all day long.
Here was our table last year.
So, with all that history there, you can see I'm a fan of natural elements, rustic pieces, and little gleam thrown in to dress things up.
I've put together a tabletop collection below, that I'd love to do if I was starting from scratch. It feels a little more edgy and contemporary, but still has the rustic vibe that makes it feel like fall.
Love the matte black plates and vases combined with the wood elements. Just my style!
It would go perfectly with the breakfast nook I put together below.
