I am sharing a beautiful laundry room here with you today, Design Lovers! This one is light, bright and boy, do I wish I could do laundry in a room like this!
This room was part of a bigger project, a whole home remodel and addition. I have the links to the other parts of the house I’ve already photographed and shared, at the end of this post.
This room was one room that was not supposed to be redone, but the contractor’s demo crew accidentally took out all the cabinets and floor so well……uh oh! Time for a new laundry room!
The layout didn’t change as we wanted to keep plumbing locations and windows where they were.
There was a lot of floor space in this room, and I knew there would be a lot of plain cabinetry, so I wanted to spice things up by doing a graphic tile floor from Arizona Tile. It made for such a fun room and is so durable as a porcelain tile.

The cabinet color was SW Gray Screen (I know I’ll get questions on that so there it is) and it worked perfectly with the tile. Wall color was SW Site White, it’s such a nice, barely-there cool gray tone.
I like that the cabinets have a little color, but not too much and the white countertops and glossy backsplash look really crisp with it. :-)
The cabinet hardware was done in an Ash Gray finish (linked below), something different from the typical nickel or brass. It works beautifully in this room.
The sink is over on the other side of the washer/dryer and we did a farmhouse apron front sink.
It’s such a fun and functional place to do laundry for this busy family home!
The homeowner requested a built-in ironing board for this wall by the sink. How much do I love an ironing board tucked away out of sight when not in use!
I love these eco-friendly laundry products from The Laundress and the water hyacinth baskets from The Container Store that I used to style this space. See all the products linked below!
(BTW, that black dryer ball is designed especially to pick up pet hair!)
I’m finally sharing pics of a project I finished up before the holidays last year, today it is the great room!
This space was an addition to the house along with a few other rooms and a full remodel. It used to be a detached garage!
