I’m just back from KBIS and I wanted to share a peek at this special new build home that I toured while there, The New American Home 2022.
KBIS (Kitchen and bath show) is held in conjunction with the International Builder Show, and every year the builder show sponsors a new build home, off site, to tour. This one was compact, but filled with lots of drama, bling and upgrades. It was fun to visit and I know you will love seeing these pics too.

Design Tour - The New American Home 2022
The house was centered around a private courtyard, with sliding doors that open up the house to this area.
The garage was just behind that server there, and the primary suite was just above the the garage.
The dining room and living room opened up onto this outdoor space, these spaces are shown below.
Check out all the lighting in the dining room. These were installed at a height that was fine to walk under at the perimeter, but they were dropped lower, over the table. It made for some real drama and a glamorous, opulent feel in this room.
Everything was right on trend in this modern home. Rattan/caning, curvy furniture, and textural bouclé fabrics fit in beautifully here.
As you head up the stairs to the second floor, the wine room takes the stage.
The first bedroom on this level had some lovely neutral finishes with wallcovering on the ceiling and an upholstered headboard that spans the whole back wall.
The striking black and white bathroom off this bedroom had glamorous features as well. Dramatic tile, unique hardware, special lighting and fixtures all contribute to the luxurious vibe. I would love to be a guest in this suite!
Another bedroom was given equal design attention. There were lots of neutrals used in this home, with high contrast darks and lights.
This hall bath had a glass front cabinet, wallpaper and unique cabinet pulls to add a custom touch.
The game room on this floor had another unique lighting installation. It all comes off as quite glamorous, doesn’t it? This room and the home gym open to the courtyard below.
This home office nook was just opposite the tv wall in the game room.
Straight down that hallway there on the right, is the primary bath and entrance to the primary bedroom. It was really special.
This shower was quite amazing. You could definitely have a party in there!
The vanity had a tambour effect on the walls, that was repeated on some of the walls in other parts of the home.
The primary suite closet and dressing area is shown below. LED strip lighting in each unit of the closet illuminated this space.
The laundry room was thoughtfully designed as well. That’s the LG Styler there on the left in the photo below. I’ve shared this product before, and it is great for steaming your clothes and not having to iron!
Here was the third floor landing. You can see the tambour type wall treatment on the paneled wall. From here, you walk right out onto the roof deck.
The third floor was a rooftop terrace that was outfitted for a party. There was a banquette all the way around the perimeter, my video I made didn’t save properly, so you’ll just have to take my word for it. It was really cool!
