I’m sharing photos taken during my tour of The New American Home 2025 during the kitchen and bath show last week. This property is on the market for 15.5 million and overlooks Las Vegas in the Ascaya development. Come and take a look!
This impressive home with 9,423 sq. ft. of living space, has 5 bedrooms, 5.5 baths and has achieved several green certifications. You can read more about those here, as well as see the builder and partners involved.
This is just outside of Las Vegas, so we’re in the desert here. There are incredible views, not so many trees. :-)
These new builds that they showcase at the International Builders Show, especially here in Las Vegas, are spacious, contemporary and a little hard edged. While this was similar to some I’ve toured here before, this one was a bit different, with warm finishes and more large scaled upholstery, which helped to fill the space and soften the look.
Here was the entrance to the home.
Entering the house, you walk over a glass floor that opens up below to a wine room. One part of the wine room is open to the main floor, and you can see that in this photo, below.
The fireplace wall had wood paneling, slab material and mosaic tiles.
I appreciated the contrast of the cut velvet back on the sofa in the living room.
Directly across from the fireplace wall was the kitchen with full height warm wood cabinetry and double islands.
I did like the cool toned countertop material in a leathered finish (couldn’t get an answer on what that material was), contrasting with the warm cabinets. The real feature of this kitchen is the metal hood. I wish there had been some space on either side of the hood, to give it some breathing room. I really liked the long pulls used to add interest to the cabinetry.
Breakfast nook is off the kitchen and beside the bar. Everything has sliders that open on to the patio.
The bar was adjacent to the kitchen area, wrapped around a column. The glass doors slid into a slot in the cabinetry so that half the bar was indoor and half outdoor.
Indoor view of the bar.
You can see where the sliding doors cut through the cabinetry to close.
This glass enclosed space was the home office, situated at the front of the house.
This outdoor space was in front of the house, beteween the study and the casita.
A guest casita is pictured below with a bedroom and bath.
The dining room was on the front of the house around the corner from the wine room and kitchen.
The downstairs powder room was quite striking with that high contrast stone top and splash.
There were two main primary suites, judging by the bathrooms. These were opposite each other on the first level, opening up to the back patio. I really like this one with the colorful wallcovering and plush upholstery.
You can see why I think this might be the second primary, as the spacious shower room with the tub and lots of showering features were large and luxurious.
I’m not sure you can see the rain shower, flowing in front of the window in this pic.
I do believe this, below, was the main primary suite, as it had a fireplace and feature wall.
It also had a spacious shower and a huge closet with walnut cabinetry.
The sliders in this bedroom opened out to this view.
There was an upstairs guest suite with a game room, bar and patio. (I didn’t get very good pics as there were a lot of people bunching around on the tour. :-)

Details to note:
I thought this was an interesting choice of doors, with traditional raised paneling, but done in a modern, linear way.
These interior doors were pivot doors too, hinged top and bottom, not on the jamb.
If you want to compare it to the last one I wrote about, TNAH 2023, you can see that here. I felt it needed more colorful furnishings, so I did a little decorating in it myself, in this post.
