I just finished up a big project which I hope to photograph soon with a cool teen boy's bedroom design that I'd like to share.
On this project, we supplied the furnishings for most of the home and we did some design-plans-only for a few upstairs rooms so the homeowner could finish it out themselves at their own pace.

Design Plan For A Teen Boy's Bedroom
I find, especially with children or teen rooms, sometimes the homeowners like to shop around and let everyone have a say in the look and furnishings. So without getting too bogged down in the details, supplying a design plan is sometimes a good way to go.
With this room, we ended up doing the paint, wallcovering, and window treatments, with the homeowner ordering the rest online.
We selected a nice dark, charcoal gray on the walls (Sherwin Williams Web Gray) and added in a wood-look vinyl wallcovering accent wall for the behind the bed.
The window shades worked out great to provide some pattern and then work with any type of furnishings, now or on down the road.
We added in a little reclaimed wood and metal in the furniture pieces and some neutral gray bedding, to be combined with accents in this teen's favorite color of red.
He likes basketball and sports, so this made a perfect backdrop for art, posters, and memorabilia, or whatever he wanted to add later on.
I'm sharing links to some of the items for purchase below.
