Living Room live edge coffee table - Designer Teena Caldwell

MUST SEE - A Designer Showhouse With High Style And Some Special Features - Part I

July 08, 2017 in Announcement, Decorating, Design Tours, Furniture

The ASID Designer Showhouse opens this weekend and I'm sharing a peek at some of the spaces today. I have to say, I'm a little jealous I didn't jump in to do a room this time in this stunning home!

It is a beautiful one story on the outskirts of northern Houston in a lovely country type setting, in Willowcreek Ranch. This home was built by Peterson Builders, the same builder ASID worked with in our last showhouse. In addition to the main house, there is a guest house, lots of beautiful outdoor entertaining spaces and even a barn, so there's lots to see.

I got a quick tour before the home opened, as things were all coming together at that last minute, and I am here to share that these designers brought their A game! It is stunning and chock full of good ideas and unique features that you do not want to miss!

I'm just sharing a glimpse today, I'll share more in my next post, but these are just sneak peeks. I don't want to give away all that design goodness out there so that you won't go visit yourself. Trust me, you will love it!

Step into the entryway and you'll walk onto this lovely brick herringbone and wood floor. There is a spectacular view through the gorgeous living to the property beyond. Teena Caldwell of Twenty Two Fifty Interiors in Sugarland, designed the living room with that live edge wood table as the centerpiece and beautiful appointments in the main hallways, like this glass base lamp.

The spacious kitchen and family room are comfortable and beautiful. I love that leather finish quartzite that Donna Jarnigan of Lacy Boone selected from Walker Zanger. You've got to touch it to appreciate the feel of that beautiful stone. Everything is a perfect shade of gray with white and so fresh and appealing.

The butler's pantry, designed by Jamie Haskins of Stylized Interiors, has some unique features like a brick floor and more beautiful natural stone. It's like a separate kitchen by itself! You must see!

The family room, designed by Tami Owen of The Owen Group has these gorgeous glass front cabinets and many other beautiful features and touches. Love the furnishings in this room too. The linen drapery in here in to die for! You've got to see that in person.

Veronica Solomon of Casa Vilora Interiors did a fantastic job on the home office for the lady of the house. It has such a wow factor! You have to experience it in person. There are so many impactful details and beautiful visual moments. I don't want to give away too much, but she designed every inch of this space and it's a show-stopper.

Crystal Reeves of  CLR Design Services did the home office for the man of the house, with some special details like barn doors, unique cabinetry, a large rustic iron chandelier and a fabulous custom desk. I so enjoyed talking to her about her inspirations and unique finds.

Across from the two home offices, is the game room / media room, designed by Diana Walker of Diana S. Walker Interior Design. There's a pool table, some great media equipment, a unique gallery wall, and a comfy seating group perfect for watching movies, games, and hanging out with family. Love the rug and all the lovely features of this room. Here's just a hint of that gallery wall below.

(BTW, Diana selected the barn door style for this area and Crystal styled the finishing of it, as often happens in showhouses, designers work together to coordinate efforts for a seamless look.)

There are two powder rooms in this expansive home and this one is certainly a gem! Love the brassy accents with the gray here, designed by Beth Lindsey of Beth Lindsey Interior Design. (BTW, if you've been watching HGTV lately, you might have seen Beth Lindsey on Brother vs. Brother! You can ask her all about that experience when you get to the Showhouse.;-)

Of course, we wouldn't neglect the outdoor spaces, now would we? This lovely table and so much more on the stunning property was designed by Paul Kevin Dix of Paul Kevin Dix and Associates.

There's so much more to enjoy in this lovely home. I'll be sharing some peeks at some of the other spaces in my next post, but really, you must see this for yourself. If you love design and beautiful homes with special details, you will love seeing these sneak peeks too.
