We all know interior design is a luxury business. It is definitely not top of the list of necessities, of course.
However, most everyone enjoys and appreciates good design and some helpful budget-friendly tips now and then are always welcome.
That’s what I’m sharing here today.
I received some feedback recently about a post I wrote regarding the trend of warm toned kitchens and how they aren’t the same as older Tuscan style warm toned kitchens.
Basically, it wasn’t appreciated that I was pointing out those features and talking about trends in kitchens, that more minimal and affordable options should be presented instead.
It made me think about all the budget friendly ideas that I have done in the past, so I thought a round up of some of those posts would be good to share today. I know some of you may not have been around for the whole 12+ years I’ve been blogging and you might have missed one of these. :-)
Let’s check a few of them out, below.
I’ve done a lot of partial remodel design too, helping people save money from having to go in and do a full gut on the room they want to redo. I’ve worked on a lot of kitchens!
Let’s take a look at a few of those…..
I feel like I do this so much, I can’t even begin to list them all here!
Most of you probably know, if you’ve been reading awhile, I’m not really a high end luxury designer or a DIY-er’s designer. I fall somewhere in the middle. I know that budget-friendly is a relative term, what is budget minded to one person may feel really expensive to someone else.
I understand.
And prices are really going up, as you all know. I remember updating that lighting post a year ago and all the pricing had gone up substantially, even though compared to what is out there of equal quality, it was more economical.
That is reflective of what is going on with pricing everywhere, so I can’t do much about that.
My full service design business has been primarily working with clients who were trying to remodel or furnish their homes by spending their money wisely. Most had saved up and were ready to invest in their home projects. Most wanted to update and elevate what they had.
My goal with this blog is to help with design and decorating problems and keep people from making mistakes in their projects.
I have seen plenty of “oopsies” out there (on social media), people trying to do the best they could to achieve what they wanted, without great success. :-(
The goal with my blog is to provide information for that level of consumer. It is for someone who wants to spend their money wisely and not make design or decorating missteps.
I do talk about trends now and then too, because people are always curious. Even though they might not follow them, they want to see what they are and occasionally incorporate a few more recent styles into their homes.
I hope that clears things up some. I don’t want anyone to feel bad about their home! My goal is to help you love yours.
