I just happened upon a home design trends article that I was excited to find.
You see, I inherited about 5 more brass candlesticks right around the holidays and this article said that taper candles in interiors were trending on Instagram. :-)

Not that I care, I’ve been using these for years on my table settings. I like mixing the brass and pewter ones I have and I love that some are vintage. But it was nice to see that I’m on trend…..for the moment. :-)
I will say, in the article, that those tapers were placed not only on dining table tops, but on coffee tables and side tables.
I do think that is a bit scary when lit, as pets and children are a little too close in height for something that is a little unwieldy and easy to tip over. But maybe they are just there for height and aren’t often lit up. :-)
I did really like these on the coffee table of one of the houses I’ve done bookshelf styling in.
And these on the table top at Casa Perfect on the LA Design Trail.
So, here’s my collection sitting on my sideboard in the dining room. My vintage painting of a Norwegian couple in traditional “bunad”, is behind.
The more the better with collections like this.
So, are you “on trend” this year with some taper candles in your home?
If not, you might want to shop below. And if you happen to have a family member that is downsizing and wanting to give some away, grab ‘em up! Even if you don’t want them yourself, they make nice gifts. :-)
