In my recent Instagram Q and A, questions came in regarding the interior decor of two different foyers. Both didn’t really need much, but the one element they were asking about would make a big difference!

Foyer 1
Problem: She wants to put some furniture, like a small console, in this foyer, but there are so many doors!
There are so many doors in this entry. Two closets flank the front door and then the powder room is right by the stairs.
The homeowner said that often guests confuse one of the closet doors for the powder room.
I didn’t feel like there was enough room for a small console at the stairs. The wreath and plant are probably not best choices for this small corner either.
What I thought would work well was a sculpture on a pedestal, something tall and narrow.
I found this pedestal in black for a nice transitional look. Any type of sculpture could go on top, a bust or something more abstract.
I rather like this gilded look for the sculpture on top, something like these.
I feel like this adds something elevated here and does not get in the way. A bonus is that they can tell their guests the powder room door is next to the sculpture! :-)
Foyer 2
In this foyer, the homeowner had a new console and stools. She had considered a round mirror but didn’t like the angled wall space left above. She wanted another suggestion.
I felt she just needed something smaller, but still round. This sunburst type mirror was considerably smaller, at 21” diameter overall, and would be a small bright spot of wall decor here in this space.
Here’s about how it would scale out. I think it looks perfect and it is a great price!

These two pics came in during my last Q&A regarding a foyer or entry hall. The homeowner had styled it up two ways and wasn’t really loving either one.
She wanted to know which direction to go and then how to uplevel the look here at her front door.
