Ciélle Home box pleated lampshades
I’m not completely done sharing some of the cool furniture and trends I found at High Point Market this spring. I’ve got a few more for you to consider if you will be adding some design to your home.
Customized Fabric Lampshades
Do you have a plain, white lampshade in your home? You might consider adding some pattern and color there, because even though designers have been doing this custom for clients for years, several big lighting vendors are now incorporating this extra level of design into their product lines.
Visual Comfort will be incorporating Schumacher fabrics onto some of their shades and Currey and Co. also has a new custom lampshade program with a selection of pretty fabrics!

Currey and Co. has their own fabric line available for custom lampshades.
Lots of smaller vendors also offer customized lampshades as well. Can you tell this is a hot trend these days? And definitely a sign that more traditional design is on the upward trend.

Burl Wood
Here’s a trend I’ve shared from previous, recent markets and I think it is such a good one to note. Burl wood is such a style neutral look, it goes with everything and doesn’t need a lot of extra detail due the nature of it’s pattern. I saw it in dark finishes, light finishes and anything in between.

Scallops are still popular!

We’ve seen it in kitchen and bathroom design and are seeing it in furnishings for other rooms of the house too. More traditional looks and features are truly making a comeback.
