There seems to be a very common go-to item for many people when shopping for that perfect piece of furniture to go in the center of the room:
Many people like the idea of an ottoman - something soft, something durable, and something a little generic. Something that might go with everything.
Except all too often, it’s this:
A big brown leather blob. :-)
These brown cubes are everywhere! And they’re relatively inexpensive, too. Unfortunately, it is likely many of your friends have the same kind of thing in their homes.
I understand how committing to a brown leather ottoman might be easier than committing to something more colorful or different.
But really, these days, there is so much more out there to choose from. And you can often choose your own fabric coverings too, even online.
Here are some custom ottomans that I’ve done in the past.
This lovely ottoman with a metal finish on the base and upholstered top has a fun, colorful fabric to brighten up the room.
I saw these fun ottomans at Highpoint Market this past October. I found them online and linked them below. :-)
If YOU have a big dark brown leather blob…
Check out your local upholstery shop for some help creating your own.
OR you can peruse the four different types of ottomans I’ve curated for you below. :-)
I’m a fan of good, quality lighting. And you probably are, too. After all...
