We’ve had a very full year, with lots of projects, clients, and some “aha” moments.
It’s been a year of learning, honing, and weeding, as well as figuring out what works, what doesn’t, and what we want to proceed with in 2015. I’m kind of a leap-before-I-think kind of person, so trial and error is my chosen method for growth. That’s not always the easy way, but it’s definitely impressionable. I never forget my lessons learned-by-doing.
I have some new ideas on the horizon, although they are tempered by the price of oil (good times for the rest of the country, not so good for the Houston economy). While I may not be expanding my business or opening a new one soon, I will be focusing on acquiring the types of projects I love working on, the clients I love working with, and honing my process even more so I can become more efficient at delivering a service that makes clients want to come back for more.
As I look back over the jobs we’ve done this past year, it appears that full-service projects with custom design have reigned supreme here at our studio. Projects where we have devoted our time and attention to the overall outcome — where a hand in all aspects of the design have rendered the happiest clients — have produced the most complete looks. These are the types of projects I’ll be aiming to acquire more of in 2015.
Want to take a look at some of the work we’ve done this past year?
Then take a look below, where I’ve linked to the projects we’re so proud to have completed during what has been a most wonderful 2014. Enjoy!

We're occasionally asked for things to be fast-tracked. Rarely do time constraints allow quality design to be done, that is unless...
Overall, this bathroom was dated, had a few leaks, and felt tight and confined. But after the remodel was complete...
I’m currently working on a really sweet vintage style bathroom remodel. The homeowners — who are, btw, former clients — love this look and wanted to go all-in with it. So "all-in" we went!
Today I’m going to share some cool before and afters of one of my projects. For me, these pics were a long time coming.
This project was a bit unique, in that the homeowner wanted to go dark in her kitchen. She loved the idea of black countertops and didn’t care for the “white kitchen” look that’s so popular now. Click through to learn and see how we gave her exactly what she wanted!
Recently, I’ve been working on a few projects where the the design of a family's home will dramatically affect the way they live within it. How, you ask? By taking down a wall...or two. ;-)
I've recently done several kitchen projects where we were limited in pantry space. The client's walk-in pantries were just way too small and weren’t working for the homeowners. What was my solution? I did this...
Check out my remodel of my upstairs bathroom. It’s fresh, feminine, spa-like and I love it!
Most people don’t quite understand the amount of time and effort that's required to produce a beautiful end-result. That's why I like to periodically devote a blog post to sharing some perspective on projects currently in progress.
Not only do I love this client's home and enjoy working with them, but I know their taste and personalities inside and out. Without a doubt, I knew this kitchen project would be one we would all be proud of.
This particular client, a bachelor, wanted a contemporary yet rustic look in his bathrooms with a masculine feel, and I think we designed exactly what he ordered, along with a little extra drama thrown in there for me!
If you have a project where we can bring our expertise and design skills to a whole room or a whole house, I’m interested in talking to you!
Even if you are reusing some existing pieces, we can create a new look specifically for you. I want to help you achieve your vision for your home and be there to guide you every step of the way. ;-)
A young, male client of mine needed a custom daybed for his long, narrow room. Here's what I came up with...
