I've been to the Wilsonart booth at KBIS in years past and it is always impressive. The products and details they are developing achieve some really amazing looks, just like this one.
Can you identify what is laminate and what isn't here?
It's all laminate. Even the doors!
Wilsonart was one of our sponsors on this trip to KBIS2018 with Modenus' annual Blogtour. I was thrilled to be involved again this year with my KBIS ticket, airfare, and hotel being paid for by these amazing brands, Lixil (Grohe, American Standard, and DXV), Thermador, Mr. Steam, Metrie, Wilsonart, and KBIS. All comments and opinions expressed here are my own.
We saw some beautiful installations and products this year and I was most impressed with this design detail below.
It's a miter fold edge, designed to have no brown line that is typical of a laminate countertop product.
I love the laminate cabinet doors too. As you can imagine, laminate doors are super durable and easy to clean.
They are coming out with a Soft Silk finish, incredibly soft and smooth with a silky touch. It will be used with seven of their stone look laminates, to even better emulate the look and feel of natural stone.
This installation below is a combination of their laminate and quartz products. The metal laminate makes for a nice touch in this display.
This is one of their quartz slab products, Lucca, below. Really pretty, and a durable substitute for white marble. I'm betting that quartz will become the go-to for kitchen and bath countertops in the next few years, over natural stone.
Why do I like quartz?
Because:
- It looks like the sample!!!! You don't have to go tromping all over the city in dusty stone yards looking for exactly the perfect slabs. YAY!!!
- I won't have any disappointed clients who might have let wine or orange juice sit too long on the counter, ending up with etching or stains.
- The choices are many, there are more products coming out every year, and they are beautiful!

I was scrolling back through my photos from KBIS2018, realizing that there were some finds I haven't shared here yet, that I think you all will love. Stunning tile, gorgeous fixtures, new shower enclosures, and much more.....
