There were many new products from Thermador introduced this year because.....
drumroll.....
IT'S THEIR BIRTHDAY!
102 years to be exact!
I cannot tell you how fun the party was! Well, I will treat you to a little snippet down below :-), AND I will tell you that if I had to wash all those wine glasses myself, I'd still be in Orlando.
Luckily, Thermador has wine-glass-washing down to a science.
Literally.
While there were many new products and features, I will touch on a few that particularly impressed me here just to give you a glimpse into what this American kitchen appliance brand is doing to help you love cooking at home.
Thermador was one of our sponsors on this trip to KBIS2018 with Modenus' annual Blogtour. I was thrilled to be involved again this year with my KBIS ticket, airfare, and hotel being paid for by these amazing brands, Lixil (Grohe, American Standard, and DXV), Thermador, Mr. Steam, Metrie, Wilsonart, and KBIS. All comments and opinions expressed here are my own. I will say, I often recommend Thermador to my clients for their kitchen remodels.
First up, let's talk dishwashers.
I don't know about you, but half the time I load a wine glass into my dishwasher, it comes out broken. :-(
Dishwashers tend to be a little too rough and just don't cradle fine glassware well enough to withstand much automatic washing.
Therefore, I usually do those by hand. (I'm not going to show you our last holiday post-dinner/pre-dishwashing kitchen pic!)
My son did the dishes after Thanksgiving this year and I caught him loading in the glassware and EEEEEEK....stopped him just in time. I did those the next day, cause you know, we were way too tired to hand wash that night. Plus, we had games to play. :-)
Anyway, if I had this dishwasher, we could stack in up to 26 long stem wine glasses! Yes! I THINK that would take care of it for us.
Take a look at the pics of this dishwasher. It is an entertainer's delight!
The Entertainer's Dishwasher
The Star-Sapphire Dishwasher
This dishwasher has an amazingly fast cycle of only 20 minutes. It works with something called the Star Speed cycle. It's the fastest hot water cycle in the industry.
Another key feature is Star Dry with Zeolite. After the high powered drying cycle, an additional step utilizes Zeolite, a naturally occurring substance that generates heat when wet. Affixed to a section of the dishwasher wall, zeolite radiates heat throughout the unit to eliminate moisture without the use of chemicals.
It also has the Entertainer's Drawer, a special 2" of top drawer space for hard-to-place items that are usually hand-washed.
One of the other products I particularly loved was the single side door ovens that are coming out this spring.
This is in their Professional Series Collection and I can just see that this is the way our wall ovens will be going in the future. It creates a much safer usage of an oven. You can get that door out of the way completely without having to lean over possibly holding a heavy pan (like a turkey) and be able to access the oven more safely.
They have a beautiful gray glass panel look with an optional flush installation that presents a very cleanly installed look.
The Masterpiece Series ovens below all have the flush installation option and beautiful new gray glass too.
One common thread throughout the whole show was smart home technology.
Thermador is incorporating that into their appliances too with the Thermador Connected Experience by Home Connect. Cook smarter with Remote Start and mobile notifications that let you know when your food is hot and ready.
You can start your oven on your way home from work from your cell phone!
Now, quickly, a little Thermador refrigeration.
Oh, you thought that was art? So did I. I actually thought it was just a pretty backdrop for the little speech they were giving us.
Until they touched the panels and voila! Refrigeration!
That whole wall is refrigeration. Refrigerators, freezers, wine storage in all kinds of combinations. You see, Thermador believes in customization and giving options to people who cook and want to invest in their kitchens.
And those doors are touch latch and soft-close too. There will be no fridge doors left open in the homes these refrigerators are in.
One last key feature I thought was cool, :-) is the delicate produce bins that they can now hang on the doors. Imagine your herbs up there where you can see them, separated from all the big, heavy cantaloupe and such?
No more reaching into the produce bin to find that one month old bag of cilantro that has turned brown and mushy.
Lastly, a few peeks at the fab party that Thermador put on for their big debut of products and anniversary. Sooooo happy we were invited!
Doesn't the lighting look like the the inside of their dishwasher? I'll be that was done on purpose. :-)
It was a great party with a great brand. We had a blast! :-) Great way to celebrate KBIS2018!
