I am all about finding places to splurge and save in a home. What is luxury to one person may not be to another, so real luxury is more about designing a home with individual preferences. In that way, high end luxury, where it counts for you, can be more attainable.

Splurge on the products that are really important to you and save on others.

I was recently at Westedge Design Fair and Art Expo in Dallas checking out all the curated luxury products and art.

When I say this show was curated, I mean it. It was a small event, set up in one building. It was so easy to get a real look at some of the top luxury products available out there all in one place.

Sure, I love going to big markets and trade fairs, but it is a lot like shopping on Amazon, Wayfair and Etsy. You’ve got to filter out all the cheaper, lower end products that are value engineered to sell in quantity to get to the good stuff.

Well, at this show, it is all about the good stuff.

Spectacular Splurges to create Luxury in Your Home

Outdoor living has become so popular, especially in the last few years. These grilling tables from Social Grilling, help you to entertain with everyone getting involved. Gorgeous wood floors with extra wide planks with European and American white oak was showing at the fair from Northern Wide Plank.

They were in process of opening up a new showroom in Dallas so Texans can see samples in person anytime.

I’m holding on to full service design work in my business until I can use these next two products in a project somewhere.

Hyland Glass is an art glass studio making incredible lighting and other glass products. We chatted about one of my favorite shows, Blown Away on Netflix, as they know some of the artists that have been on the show.

Hand made wood furniture is truly an art form for Earl Nesbitt.

I love to see nature and texture in a home and this beautiful limestone from Wyoming with fossils, Green River Stone, is perfect for that.

It can be used as table tops, backsplashes, fireplace surrounds, all kinds of surfaces.

A 24K gold finish on this apron sink below and then a platinum finish on the bathroom sink are new metal finishes for Native Trails. Luxury in the kitchen and bath, for sure.

New wallpaper companies and patterns are coming up every day and this one, Ever Atelier, has some beautiful products. These lovely and delightful entrepreneurs are based in Dallas.

That is one thing I loved about this show, many of the vendors were local to Texas or weren’t too far flung.

Artist’s work to splurge on

The artists were there adding so much life and expression to this curated fair.

Loved this art from Jennifer Monet Cowley, through the Daisha Gallery. Her inspiration comes from quilts and the messages and stories that were often hidden in them.
