I’m sharing photos of the upstairs rooms and the cabana from the Pasadena Showcase House of Design that I attended last a week ago. More pretty pics of dazzling interiors!
Gentleman’s Retreat
The first room you see off the stairs is the gentleman’s retreat, designed by Interiors by Ranalli. The dark paneling gives off a moody vibe with some fabulous wallpaper to add contrast. The bust at the window is just the right final touch in this layered but restrained space.
The home’s original stained glass panels separate this room from the hallway.
Sanctuary Bedroom
The sanctuary bedroom, designed by the Cordrey Collection, is a blend of modern and Deco-inspired style. Laser-cut panels divide the room with the bed on one side and a lounge space at the front. The angular patterns of different sizes make for a dynamic and dramatic bedroom.
Sanctuary Bathroom
I love this stone slab wall and counter and the black and gold touches in the sanctuary bath. The shower had some gorgeous geometric stone tile.
I love to see how other designers style showers and the large shells are perfect! This bathroom was designed by Interiors by Ranalli.
Young Adult’s Bedroom
The young adult’s bedroom was designed by Samantha Williams Interior Design. Pretty blue and white with blush accents make for beautiful, relaxing atmosphere. I really loved that swan wallpaper in the little hall to the bathroom. Such a lovely organic pattern juxtaposed to the stripe in the bedroom.
Young Adult’s En Suite Bathroom
This lovely, restorative bathroom features slab walls and a unique light rail around the room, eliminating the need for direct down lights. The materials and finishes speak to the luxury throughout this home. I love the minimalist toilet! The linear drain down by the shower head creates a shower “room” with no need for a glass enclosure.
Lots of creative solutions here for this lovely bathroom, designed by Christine Jahan Designs.
Young Gentleman’s Quarters
The modern argyle patterned wallpaper on the ceiling of this bedroom was a favorite feature of mine here. I especially liked it juxtaposed to the chandelier. Loved the blues too and this unique floor lamp behind the masculine chair.
The designer, Mark Hermogeno of Hermogeno Designs, did a spectacular job making good use of the small space in the adjoining bathroom. The sliding mirror and then those slab shower walls help open up the space. (I’m thinking my next shower will have slab walls. So easy to maintain!)
The young gentleman’s quarters was designed by Hermogeno Designs.
Guest Suite
The guest suite, designed by Rachel Duarte Design, was a crisp blue and white with a beautiful rich green bed. Wallcovering on the ceiling again here in both the bedroom and dressing room with a bold floral design paper on the dressing room walls.
How luxurious does wallpaper make a home feel? VERY!
Kimono Pavilion
This small corridor space was made opulent by Shari Tipich, Decorative Design & Artistry. Chinoiserie, especially that tiger motif (saw more of this at Hpmkt this past spring too), made a bold statement in this space.
It was the perfect maximalist’s nook to relax and recharge!
Pool Cabana
A relaxed California pool-side style is displayed in the cabana, designed by The Art of Room Design. This space has that laid back, casual vibe but still feels decorated and layered, with special details and finishes.
There is a neutral grasscloth in the main room of the cabana. The other wallcoverings used in the bathroom and dressing areas are all of the same pattern, just used in different color ways. It is a clever trick to get a cohesive but unique look throughout this space. Notice the fabrics used here are done the same way.
I loved the heavily textured floor tile, the look almost reminded me of beach sand.
Tranquil Oak Waterfall
This outdoor oasis behind the house was created by California Waterscapes. It was such and inviting stop, the perfect place to have your morning coffee while listening to the gentle waterfall feature and watching the koi in their pond.
