There were definitely some bold, colorful highlights at KBIS 2023 last week.
After our rather subdued show last year with some vendors absent and then the show being canceled the year before because of the pandemic, I’d definitely say all the brands brought big statements and a lot of new developments in their products this year.
It was lively, fun and packed with people!
This post is all about the color on display, from overall booths to specific items like appliances and sinks. There was a lot of color to catch your eye!
Cafe Appliances
Cafe Appliances are known for their white finish option and for their pro handles.
While they don’t have bold color on their appliances, they did add more finishes and the ability to customize the combination of finishes to the pulls. The color of the cabinetry and other finishes in the booth made the white and black appliances finishes pop and the new metals on the pulls were just the perfect bling to add on top.
Bold fuschia high gloss cabinetry and wallpaper make a color statement on one side of the Cafe Appliances booth. They did matte back appliances with this color and it look smashing!
The other side of the booth had white appliances combined with a fresh pastel look, inspired by nature and the tropics.
Their inspiration for the metals on the pulls and the palette for the tropical booth are below. These niches were outside the booth, enticing us all to come in.
Luxury Brand, Monogram Appliances
Cafe Appliances and Monogram Appliances probably had the most colorful booths, designed by Richard Anuszkiewicz. He is really a design genius and Monogram sets up their booth so well for a guided experience, there is a line to get in!
Here’s a pic of the line with one of my designer friends, Arianne Bellzaire and her husband waiting their turn and giving me a big smile. :-)
The Monogram booth was set up as different rooms, like a showhouse really.
The first room was sort of a bistro look, paneled with tambour wood on walls and on the island. The back wall had a pretty pastel Chinoiserie mural with bistro shelving floating in front. Their induction cooktop, that I tried out myself in their Chicago showroom, was front and center.
The third room was round and a vivid red with something like a painted grasscloth covering the walls and refrigerator. Jewelry inspired pulls top the fridge panels. A marble top table centers the space.
There were just so many good details. It was hard to shoot because it was so crowded. All I could get were these close up shots of a few areas.
On to some more color from KBIS 2023!
Kohler is bringing back two of these vintage colors this next year. They held a vote during the show for which two would be selected.
Peachblow and green were chosen! Expect to have some plumbing fixtures available in those colors soon.
This gorgeous blush tub by Konkretus would make a big statement in a bathroom.
If you are a color lover, this year’s KBIS had plenty of eye candy for you..
Here’s another post all about the trends seen at this year’s show.

These 5 interior design trends showed up repeatedly in booths at KBIS, the kitchen and bath show, 2023.
I am not calling them just kitchen and bath trends because they are trends that I see in interior design with furniture and architecture too. They stood out to me this year as I was keeping an eye out for some of these as I walked the show floor. Come and see what I found as a common thread….
