Yesterday I shared a tour of the impressive 2015 “New American Home” that I, along with the rest of the Modenus BlogTour team, toured in Vegas during the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS).
We received a first-person walk-through of the home from top to bottom; and everything we saw was remarkable.
But there was one aspect of the tour that stole the entire show. And you're going to have to see it to believe it.
The star of the demonstration was —

Before the demonstration began I, along with the other designers in attendance couldn’t help but notice one of the tables with a few giant glasses of red wine.
Shockingly, no one grabbed one for themselves. (Yah, I know... What kind of interior designer passes up wine???) We did get our own regular sized glasses. But we still couldn’t help but remain curious...why the large glasses?
The larger glasses of wine were going to be used for carpet-dunking!
We were about to learn why there’s no longer a reason to fret over a little bit of wine being spilled on the floor.
I’ve forever believed wine to be carpet’s greatest enemy. But not anymore; not after seeing the incredible technology that's built into this carpeting do its thing.
Mohawk's new Nanoloc Technology is the magic that's embedded into Karastan’s SmartStrand® Silk™ Forever Clean™ carpets that allows it to stay...well..."forever clean".
It won't allow wine — or anything else — to penetrate the carpet's fibers. So yes, that means you can spill anything on the carpet and you'll be able to wash, wipe, or dab it away!
Here, see for yourself:
Your mouth: It’s on the floor, isn’t it? Well guess what…
Karastan’s SmartStrand® Silk™ Forever Clean™ carpet is fabulous in more ways than just that one. It’s so soft and so durable that...
Babies can comfortably crawl on it.
Children can roughhouse on it.
And adults can wiggle their toes into it.
With those factors in mind, Karastan’s SmartStrand® Silk™ Forever Clean™ carpets have a winning combination! I’m pretty sure I even remember overhearing someone say… “Finally! I can have white carpet!” ;-)
