Oh, YES! This year, I’m thinking simple decor.
In fact, I'm kind of forced to, because work has been wonderfully busy!
But I do, however, have my Charlie Brown Christmas Tree up in The Studio. There's just no excuse to not have it up!
Right now, I have so much going on that I can’t imagine having a single second available to put up a real Christmas tree, along with all the other Holiday decor that goes along with it.
You see: I’m putting new floors in my house, enclosing my study, and having some carpentry and painting done. And, from the get-go, I didn’t intend on doing all those things at once; the project kinda took on a life of its own and grew and grew and grew.
I’ll be lucky if I’m able to finish it before Christmas! (My clients are probably all snickering about that!)
Now do you understand why I’m unsure if I’ll get my Christmas tree up in time?

This dilemma has got me thinking...
Do I dare? Do I NOT put one up this year?
Never before have I gone without a tree.
But, this year, we won’t even home for Christmas day, so why not?
Nooo - I can’t let work get in the way of the Christmas Spirit.
I suppose I could do something simple. I suppose I don’t have to put up a FULL tree. I suppose I could just put up a single part of one.
As in: A few branches -- Placed in a vase -- Adorned with beautiful ornaments.
