Maybe you’ve seen some of my digital design guides over there on my sidebar and in my outlet shop? Well, they are more than just a little…ahem....homemade.
The content is great in all of them, I have to say :-), but the vehicle…...it’s a little sad. I did them all myself in Google Slides after listening to a podcaster yell at his listeners to just DO IT for crying out loud!
“Get that great piece of information you’ve produced out on the internet, ready to be downloaded and used by others!”
I don’t remember who that was, but I’ll have to thank him for that. It lit a fire under me and I now have 6 helpful guides for sale in my outlet shop and I have lots more in the works.
The thing is, the writing has not been my problem.
(Well, I hope you don’t disagree!)
It was the formatting, the slick, professional imagery, the real polished look of the piece that was holding me back. I’d been waiting around for forever, trying to find someone to help me produce some downloadable pdf packages. I have lots and lots of content and material just waiting to be published, but I don’t have the time or the expertise to put it all together beautifully.
Until now.
I’m happy to say some fabulous people stepped up to help me.
Leslie Carothers, social media marketing and digital branding expert (among many more titles), along with Sam Henderson, HGTV and DIY Network video and content producer (fabulous graphics and digital content guru), have teamed up to create a new company, Savour Partnership.
Here’s the official introduction to their new combined business venture.
Leslie Carothers, CEO of The Kaleidoscope Partnership, celebrating her 15th year in business this year as a nationally known social media marketing and digital branding expert and Sam Henderson, HGTV and DIY Network video and content producer, owner of Savour Imagery and writer of the famous lifestyle blog, Today's Nest, have partnered to form Savour Partnership to offer beautifully designed, custom branded downloadable e-products and e-newsletters to businesses with websites and/or blogs.
Sounds just like what I needed. Right?
Well, it was.
We have developed this pdf in the form of my giveaway that I now feature on my blog sidebar and right in this post below.
I’m all smiles! :-)))))
First, let me refer to the advantages of creating some of these packages for a designer or blogger.
- It’s always a good idea to invest in and build out assets you own like your blog and your email list (versus the ones you don't, like Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
- Everyone in a service business should be looking at how to build passive income in my opinion, through downloadable e-products and e-books, a regular newsletter, embedded with links and/or videos, out to other products, seminars, classes or events. (Have you been listening to all the gurus out there? This isn’t a new idea. Designers need to get on the bandwagon.)
- There is great value in creating an elevated, beautiful, branded online experience for clients/customers/readers through the quality of the design of e-products. (I know I wanted mine to be better!)
Leslie and Sam have mastered an easy onboarding process, with a checklist to make it all as seamless as possible. They are also incorporating live project management help, if/when needed so people can get their questions answered, fast. Their industry knowledge, experience and connections can bring much value and insight to a project you are dying to get out there.
Here's more about their offerings.
Now, just in case you never downloaded my original “homemade” version, I’m going to expose a page of my "How To Style A Bookshelf Like A Pro" guide, below.
Not too bad for a full time working person who does this writing gig on the side. No?
Well, it’s much better now.
Matter of fact, it's pretty cool. :-) You can take a look at the finished product after entering your email address in the form below. The link to click will appear right in the place of the form. You can open it up right away.
(If you’d like to subscribe to my blog, then there will be a verification sent via email to finish the subscription, after you check out the link.;-)
Leslie and Sam are in process of building out their own website, to be live by end of August. They are ready for business now though, and welcome your inquiries by contacting them here, savourpartnership@gmail.com.
