We can’t talk about KBIS without mentioning color! This year, the blues stood out for me, mainly some dark navy, which I love and was so happy to see. Everywhere, displays had navy cabinetry with crisp white counters and then any multitude of faucet and hardware finishes.
Of course, there was a fabulous blue range and hood from Viking. If I was doing my own kitchen again in another footprint, a layout that would have my cooking area placed against a wall, I would so do this cobalt blue range and hood. (If I had the budget! :-) Love!!!
Here are all the blues that made me look at KBIS2017.
There were other colors, of course, if blue wasn't your thing.
At Blue Star Appliances, they can do just about any color of the rainbow on your appliances. You can pick your knob color too.
Smeg and La Cornue didn’t disappoint on the color front.
I have to mention these most photographed Grohe faucets again, with their colorful hoses. And a touch of red on the hose on this faucet from Danze was just enough.
Lastly, metal finishes are expanding like crazy. Look at all these from Kohler. I can remember just a few years ago when you couldn’t even get brass at Kohler. What an opportunity to customize your bathroom and make it just to your personal taste.
I’ve done one bathroom with navy vanity (still haven’t had that photographed professionally), I've got one under construction, almost finished, and there's another that will start construction soon. Can’t wait to share these when they're done! Guess I was right on trend in 2016. ;-) I do think that these blues, especially navy, just never goes out of style. Don't you?
If you want some color in your kitchen or bathroom, the products are out there today! I have to ask....
Would you do a colorful appliance in your kitchen? If so, what would it be?
