As I walked through showroom after showroom at High Point Market, I started to take notice of all the upholstered stools and tiny tables that fill in the nooks of every furniture vignette.
I shared the abundance of sectional sofas I noticed last weekend, but these caught my eye too, during fall 2019 market.
These pieces are not as big of an investment since they are considerably smaller items, and can be a great way to add something new and fun into your home’s decor.
Upholstered Stools
Small upholstered stools, often round, were scattered everywhere. I think some of these speak to that 80’s vibe that I’m seeing a trend toward, in new furniture.
A small upholstered stool can bring a lot of versatility to a room, adding extra seating that can be easily tucked away under a table, desk or console.
They’re great for small space living or for adding some softness to a room.
That fab space, above, features wallpaper that Lisa Mende designed especially for this room.
Below, round stools were used in the striking vignette created by House of Nomad, for Rowe Furniture. Green was a popular color this market, once again!
Tiny Tables
Another small furniture item that can be added in to almost any room arrangement is a tiny table. I saw many of these at market but only photographed a few here to share.
I just think these are nice little accents and are a great way to add a contemporary element to a more traditional room.
So, you baby boomers out there who are looking to mix things up a bit with your trad style, here’s a way to bring in a little sleekness.
Small upholstered stools and tiny tables can be added in to just about any room to make it more functional and stylish. I hope you found some here today that might work in your home!
