I think it is a perfect way to introduce nature into a room.
Petrified wood is heavy, it’s actually wood turned to a fossil or stone, so it lends a gravitas and quality look to your decor.
This image above is a petrified wood slab that I saw at a fabricator’s warehouse. It was so bold and unique! I can imagine it in a kitchen on a waterfall edge island with some black cabinetry. :-)
