You’ve seen them all over the world: Toto toilets.
They’re in major airports, luxury hotels, office buildings, and the most discerning places of all...
The homes of people who desire the most advanced toilet technology there is, sleek design, and eco-friendly products.
The Toto brand has been an innovator and leader for years.
Their success began years ago, with their one-piece skirted toilet that hides the ugly plumbing underneath the bowl.
From there, many more innovations followed — MANY.

Did you know there's actually a science to creating a toilet's finish?
Neither did I.
But there is.
And yes, discussing toilet technology at breakfast is, typically, an awkward topic of conversation.
But not for us.
Each and every one of us, people who are design aficionados through and through, we enjoyed every second of what was an incredibly fascinating conversation.
Toto representatives enlightened us on every detail regarding the amazing finish they use on their toilets...
It's called "Sanagloss glazing".
Sanagloss glazing creates a super smooth surface on a toilet. And you know why that’s a good thing, right? It's a good thing because smooth surfaces equal less stickiness to the toilet which then equals easier upkeep!
Another fascinating feature developed by Toto: the Washlet.
The Washlet is a device that gives you the experience of a bidet without having to get up and sit on another fixture. It's perfect for aging-in-place, or for anyone who just wants to feel fresh. :-)
Another major innovation: Double Cyclone flushing.
Double Cyclone flushing is a more powerful flushing system that uses centrifugal force to lessen the amount of water that's used.
Here's what Toto had to say about it:
“The Double Cyclone flushing system features two powerful nozzles that create a centrifugal, cyclonic rinsing action which reduces waste buildup and keeps the bowl cleaner. Using only 1.28 gallons per flush, this high-efficiency system is more effective in one flush than most toilets are with multiple flushes. The modern hole-free rim design means that it performs more consistently and is easy to clean. Dual-nozzle water propulsion system More Powerful flush Only 1.28 gallon per flush Cleaner bowl and less cleaning.”
The "soybean test". You familiar with it?
Apparently, Toto uses soybeans to test a toilet's ability to flush...well...you know.
The soybean test is so effective that the EPA ditched their old way of testing the same function, and now all toilets must pass this test before they're allowed to be sold.
Here’s something else to think about: Have you ever considered the amount of energy it takes to pump a gallon of water from an aquifer to a toilet? I'll say it again... Me neither. But Toto has.
So yeah...those are just two examples of the company's foresight and overall brilliance that not only enables them to produce incredible products that satisfy their customers' needs, but also to make an impact on our global environment.
Bravo, Toto!
Now, take a look at this toilet, the Neorest.
THIS is the ultimate luxury.
“An integrated toilet with technologically advanced Washlet, this Neorest is a truly remarkable combination of ecology and luxury. Meeting both ADA and Universal Design needs, people of all ages and abilities can enjoy all of the Neorest innovations, including TOTO's Cyclone flushing system, eWater+ Technology, remote control, automatic flushing and SanaGloss, an extraordinarily smooth, ion-barrier surface to help keep the bowl cleaner longer.”
And just in case you’re thinking that Toto is all only about toilets...
