There's nothing quite like taking a material finish through a glass panel to enlarge a space and double it’s visual size.
This is often done in contemporary spaces, where large windowed walls of glass are de rigeur and in bathrooms, where glass shower enclosures are used.
The wall or ceiling or floor material, or any combination of them, continues uninterrupted, from the indoor space to the outdoor space, or from the main part of the bathroom into the shower.
Instead of the “wall” being at the glass, the wall lies beyond. When detailed properly, the space appears to grow visually, and a seamless transition from one space to the other is achieved.
Isn't this a handy trick to know?! I think so ;-)
