I’m a big believer in reusing existing furnishings—that is…
If they are in good condition and can be tweaked or modified to work in a new, fresh design scheme.
Such was the case with this not-so-attractive oak pool table with red felt and bags. My client had been living overseas for some years, and it had been left in storage, in pieces. And because it was purchased a while back, the look of the pool table no longer worked with my client’s new, more contemporary design aesthetic and home decor.
Here, take a look:
So how did we make this beast appear sleek, beautiful, and fitting for their new space?
We refinished it with an ebony stain, added new black bags, and re-felted it in black!
Looks awesome, right!
