I have yet to take any kind of vacation this year, but I plan on doing so in September.
Yes, I know... That’s THE busiest time of the year for designers. But I’m heading out to LA for a week to visit with my daughter and other family members. Basically, I’m pretty much just using the time to get away from home for a bit. I’ve got just enough projects to keep us busy, yet not too many to make me crazy — and that’s just right where I like it.
In this week’s edition of DESIGN REFRESH...
I’m sharing an update on my Honey Bee Ham Deli project, as well as a fabulous feminine executive office space we recently completed. Also, I’ve got one of my how-to-approach-this-design-dilemma posts, as well as a couple of timely posts about products and trends.
Towards the bottom of today’s shares, I’ve included some links I think you’ll find interesting; one of which is a round-up of design no-no’s, as told by some designers you may be familiar with. (i.e. No-nos I [mostly] agree with). After all, sometimes it’s not about knowing what TO do, it’s about knowing what NOT to do. :-)
Enjoy!

And here’s one of my most popular no-no’s regarding kitchen backsplashes.
One of these talks about decorative lighting and — well — I’ve got an article up above that can help you with that, too. :-)
