I just proposed this look to a client for their cabinetry (see below for my sketches).
It's a look I've gone with in the past, and a look I intend to propose in an upcoming presentation for a bathroom design.
When you want a touch of wood to create warmth, to complement other areas of a house, to add some contrast and definition, do this:
Combine the color white with wood materials.
When you don't want a wall of wood cabinets, because they would be too overpowering, or too simple, or they would direct too much color or darkness into a space, or when using too much white would be washed out...
Then combining wood with the color white is just the look you want.
It’s so fresh and appealing.
It brings a warm, natural feel to the space.
Wood serves as a much more durable surface than a painted one.
And, most importantly, it makes you feel like you've added some quality, or money, to a project...
...because indeed you have ;-)
