I don’t have any old portraits decorating my home, but I certainly do believe they do a great job of adding an element of interestingness to an interior.
Old painted portraits add depth and character. They add a sense of history and nostalgia. They add a richness and an extra layer to a room, no matter what the size.
They work in any styled interior: a clean-lined contemporary space or one that’s more traditional. They work assembled in a gallery or standing on their own.
How flexible is that for an objet d’art?
