Have you noticed what I've been doing lately?
I'm using a new approach to providing credit to those who produce the media I publish on my blog posts. You know - pictures and videos and the like.
No longer do I have to worry about receiving a random cease and desist letter from an angry artist! (Not that I've ever gotten one before - but it's always best to play it safe ;-)
What's in it for you, you ask? Well, you're now able to easily discover additional insights about any of the images I share.
See that gallery of images down below? It’s exactly what you’d see within my new Media Sourcing section of CarlaAston.com. Simply click an image you’re interested in learning more about and watch what happens. Go ahead, try it!
Pretty handy, huh? Now, instead of only hearing my insights on a particular image, you can enjoy insights from hundreds of others too! (BTW: I encourage this ONLY if you come straight back to my blog after making your quick trip elsewhere on the web ;-)
As a designer who does NOT like to see my work on the web without proper attribution, I couldn't be more excited about this new practice. And I'm certain those of you out there, designers and bloggers alike, who also earn an income off your creativity wouldn't mind seeing a sourcing technique like this become more common.
If you have any questions regarding how I do this, ask away in the comments!
