I recently packed up all of the dishes and glassware out of my two pharmacy cabinets in my dining room. I’m getting new hardwood floors installed and I had to move those two cabinets out of the way for the floor to be worked on.
It took me FOR-EV-ER.
You see, I have a penchant for the handcrafted, the personal, the unique.
And I love, specifically, glass-art, ceramics, and wood pieces.
Whenever I travel I look for something small, crafted by an artist or artisan, to bring home in my suitcase - and I’ve traveled a lot. My cabinets are filled with memories of the places I’ve been and the artists I’ve met along the way.
Recently, while I was traveling around Etsy.com...
...where artisans from around the world come together to sell their handmade creations, I took note of some unique gifts I'd love to have in my cabinets.
Then I thought: Maybe you'd like them to sit within yours too.
Or maybe a friend or family member at an upcoming Secret Santa party would enjoy receiving something I discovered as a gift? Everything listed below will only set you back $50 or less, so they'll probably fall within your party's price limit. And, without a doubt, no matter which one you choose, you can rest assured that your contribution to the party will certainly be fought over ;-)
BTW: Don't stop your Etsy-shopping at the end of this top 10 countdown. Go ahead and click on each image to see what other lovely items each seller has to offer within their store. There are some absolute gems within each shop I'm sure you'll want to share with someone you love.
Aren’t these measuring spoons fun?
I love a little black and white graphic pattern.
Handmade Christmas ornaments that don’t look too crafty are always a great gift.
These ceramic tile ornaments are very sophisticated while retaining that handcrafted appeal.
Lovely gift idea here. Who doesn’t love to see something repurposed? With the Eiffel towel on it? As well as a charm?
More art glass ;-)
You could start by buying just one, then continue buying more and more, each of a different color, and pretty soon you'd have a very nice collection!
I LOVE these ceramics.
The color, the handmade quality, the whimsical pattern. THIS is my FAVE.
Not only could you hang these on the wall, but you could add them to a collection of hand thrown ceramic plates for a fabulous table setting.
