This seems to be the new mantra for creative services businesses:
"But this isn’t my business model.”
I hear it everywhere I go.
Everyone in business seems to have a “business model” their customers must fit into.
My drapery installer doesn’t work before 10:30 am. My workroom doesn’t work on Fridays.
One of the contractors I recently had price out a project would not release any of his figures on the project until he met face-to-face with the husband: the decision maker. And guess what... He never got the chance to present.
Opportunities missed, by design - their own design. Doesn't make sense, does it?
