For some, asymmetry feels just as comfortable as HOME October 03, 2012 in Designing In design, there’s something about asymmetry that can feel a little unsettling to people. Why?It’s very divisive.YOU EITHER LOVE IT! or you don’t :-/ Because, you see, there are two types of people. You're either:1. A symmetrical kind of person:Someone who likes duplicates, mirroring images, balance, proportion, a tidy placement of things, etc.OR2. You’re a bit of a wild child:Someone who's comfortable with things being a bit off kilter, askance, askew.Which are you? Asymmetry . . . It’s not most popular. You know this, right? It's definitely not something you’d do if you were designing for the masses. You’d turn a lot of people off.But for the artistic, the adventurous, the quirky . . .Asymmetry feels just as comfortable as HOME.
