The young family who own this home are former clients of mine who are back again.
It’s so rewarding to have repeat clients!
They have a crisp, classic, almost coastal style, along with a preference for fresh colors and a bit of glamour.
This very active family wants to use the room for quiet time. They envision lots of reading, cozy moments gathered around the fire, and family get-togethers to take place in this "complete," beautiful room that's located off the front entry hall.
Here’s what I proposed:

I just LOVE this light, bright, clean style.
The lounge chairs were to be upholstered in a teal chenille fabric. And the gourd lamps would be done in a citrine finish and placed in front of the windows on top of the chests to shine some fresh color around the room.

Fabrics & Rug
To the left are the fabrics and rug that was laid out in my studio for my presentation to my clients.
We did a high/low mix (in other words: there are some low budget items mixed with some higher quality, pricier options).
Some of the higher end items were the custom lounge chairs, wool rug, and the Somerset Bay chests. These I then combined with some readily available retail pieces to keep the mix affordable.
