As a designer who sells product, I’m not too fond of online shopping.
I know all too well how things are not always as they seem on a computer screen.
I know how shipping times and handling fees and damaged goods factor into every purchase...
I know how you have to create carts and leave all your personal data everywhere just to buy something...
I know that if you end up buying something you also somehow wind up on the stores promotional email list, or list(s)...
And I know how much of a time-suck the entire online shopping process can be.
Unless I know exactly what I'm looking for, it's rare that I shop online for myself, because I'm usually busy shopping / working for clients.
But then there's Etsy. ;-)
(Oh, and First Dibs, too! (Drool) But I'll have to save my cheers about it for another post.)
After you have sorted through all the crafty items and are able to get a good feed going, you'll usually find something wonderful or unusual on etsy--you know, stuff that's not available at every other online store.
Take a look at some of the interesting finds I’ve discovered throughout my recent prowlings!
